Positive Computing the supplier of choice for UK plc web design agency

global3digital_logoglobal³digital is a market leader, serving UK plc and providing websites, content and hosting for an array of well-known names including Close Brothers, Royal & Sun Alliance, Xchanging, Majestic Wine, New Look and Domino’s Pizza.

Naturally such high profile clients demand a high level of service so it is of paramount importance that global³digital receives commensurate IT support – which is why they chose Positive Computing, as Managing Director Peter Kemp explains.

Peter Kemp – Managing Director, global3digital

We work with quoted companies only, on the stock exchange, and we provide service creating a website, designing a website, and physically building it, and looking after it thereafter- not just from a hosting perspective but content management and crucially because they’re quoted entities, from a client’s perspective keeping the content up to date.

We had an incumbent, so we were looking for somebody else to be able to outsource our desktop, PC support and everything around that; email and everything around that too. We’re a relatively small-ish agency, we’ve got 30 desktops and having a full timer to do that role isn’t really practical.

With Positive Computing we’ve never had a scenario where something hasn’t been resolved.Naturally we still ran a tender process, I think we got three, if not four, people in and what stood out thinking back to it was Julian came had a different approach. Everybody came in with standard template pictures or whatever, but Julian had obviously done his research about us, and that came through in the pitch. That was almost the deciding factor in choosing Positive Computing, even before we started looking at costs or comparing costs.

It’s crucial if our PC has died then we can’t support our clients we want to have confidence in a provider. So hearing somebody that’s made the effort to understand your business a bit, so you’re not just another client- its classic stuff and that came across.

Positive has done a terrific job keeping us running.Relating to IT ultimately the objective is that everything functions very well across the board, but I guess for me as KPI, do I have constant complaints about PCs not working or other things not working? Technology being technology there are always issues, but Positive has done a terrific job keeping us running. Occasionally things will get escalated, you know? We’re in the same game as technology but we’ve never had a scenario where ultimately something hasn’t been resolved and that’s all I can ask for.

Without a doubt we would recommend Positive Computing. It does what it says on the packet really. People we always deal with are always really friendly, customer focused people, that’s a big one for me. I’ve been trying to sort that on my own business. It’s just reassurance; peace of mind.
